Beautifully furnished, very comfortable house in the centre of the pleasant and quiet village of St Helen, just outside Dinan. Newly renovated to high standard and fully equipped with modern conveniences. 25 minutes from superb beaches. Two large bedrooms. Sleeps 4/5
St Helen village has a pleasant and friendly bar, the 'St Helen', where you can order your daily croissants and baguette. The bar also does bar snacks and has various games for the younger visitors. In addition there is a small corner shop for basic groceries.

The nearest supermarket, restaurant, and shops are 5 minutes away at Lanvallay, on the way into Dinan.

Dinan itself has numerous restaurants, creperies, bars, shops, banks and all you would expect from a busy market town. It is approximately 6 km from St Helen – less than 10 minutes easy drive.


DINAN is a captivating town. The medieval centre is crammed with wonderful timber framed buildings, magnificent churches and stunning buildings. It is small enough to explore on foot but with plenty to provide interest for a stay of one or two weeks.

The colourful port area with its moored boats, riverside cafés and restaurants is a fascinating spot which is reached by a long, steep cobbled street lined with timber framed houses, restaurants and craft shops, many of them hung with geraniums.
From the port you can take boat trips or go for long walks or cycle rides along the towpath.

Though it may look like a film set, Dinan is not just a tourist attraction. It is a vibrant town where people live and work throughout the year. The market is held on Thursday morning. During the summer there are many small events and attractions and every two years the town stages its well known Fête des Remparts, one of the biggest medieval festivals in Europe, when Dinan returns to the Middle Ages for a weekend of jousting, battles etc.

Heating throughout by electric wall mounted convector heaters. Heated towel rails in bathrooms
Bed linen and personal towels are included.

Exterior : The kitchen door gives access to the exterior with steps up to the garden
which is at first floor level. This is laid to gravel. There is a garden table and chairs and a BBQ

Parking : There is ample, free, parking on the church/village car park directly opposite the house

The area

The pretty village of St Helen is approximately 6 km from Dinan – less than 10 minutes easy drive.
Village amenities include a recreation ground with tennis court, basket ball court and five a side soccer pitch. There is also a boules court by the church car park.
The nearby Coëtquen forest, a few minutes walk away, has well marked trails for walking, cycling and horse riding.
The village has a large, friendly, bar, the St Helen, just two doors from the house, with dart board, pool table etc. You can also buy your bread and croissants here.
There is a village shop for basic provisions. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants are at Lanvallay, Pleudihen or Dinan, all just a few minutes drive.
St Helen is an attractive and peaceful village set in beautiful countryside but with very easy access to the lively town of Dinan and only 20 minutes from fabulous beaches.

Access

Situated just north of Dinan, St Helen is only 25 minutes from the ferry port at St Malo, the airport at Dinard and the magnificent clean sandy beaches of the north Breton coast.
The drive from Cherbourg and Caen is about 2 ½ hours. From Roscoff 2 hours. From Calais 3 – 4 hours.
RYANAIR fly twice daily into Dinard airport from Stansted.
