This delightful stone farmhouse was restored in 1999. Decorated and
furnished with flair and imagination it offers every comfort and modern
convenience while retaining its beautiful original features. It is situated
in a peaceful hamlet in the lovely countryside to the south of Dinan.
Only 5 minutes drive into Dinan - one of the prettiest towns in France
- and 30 minutes to the magnificent beaches of the north Brittany coast.
This is an ideal spot for exploring this wonderful region - by bicycle,
car or on foot. The house has garden with furniture and small barbecue.
Off road parking for 2 cars. Heating is by electric convector wall heaters
and there is a huge fireplace with woodburner so you can be really comfortable
even out of season.
Accommodation: Large sitting/dining room with comfortable
sofa and 2 chairs + futon. Dining table and 6 chairs. Mini hi-fi. Books
and games. Arched stone doorway to large modern kitchen fully equipped
with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, built-in electric
oven, gas hob.
Upstairs: there are two large bedrooms - one with double bed,
the other with twin beds + folding bed. Spacious and gleaming blue and
white tiled shower room with loo and washbasin.
The cottage has a gravelled drive and its own parking area.
The region: Shops, banks, restaurants, Thursday morning market,
and all services in Dinan, 7 kms. Heated open air swimming pool at Léhon
(5 kms). Watersports centre at Lake Bétineuc (4.5 kms). The spectacular
rocky headlands, little coves and huge sandy beaches of the north Brittany
coast are only a half hour's drive. As is the walled town of St. Malo,
the fishing port of Cancale - world famous for its oysters. Mont St.
Michel is a little further - perhaps an hour's drive.
The area is wonderful for walking, horse riding or cycling and of course
for golf - there are half a dozen excellent courses in the area.
How to get there
The nearest ferry port is St Malo – 25 minutes. Cherbourg and Caën are
2 - 3 hours. Roscoff about 2 hours
Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to Dinard airport, Pleurtuit, which
is 25 minutes drive
