Quietly tucked away in a private cobbled courtyard in the centre of the delightful medieval town of Dinan, and only yards from the market square, this charming 'mews style' town cottage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for 2 people plus the sole use of its private garage - quite a luxury in this popular town. Just a few minutes walk each morning will ensure those fresh croissants and crusty baguette for your daily breakfast (not to mention mouthwatering pastries for teatime!).

Charcuteries, epiceries, chocolatiers and all those other evocatively named shops are also just a few steps away (you can just feel the pounds going on can't you but they can be walked off by tackling the rue Jerzual a few times!). And, as if that wasn't enough, the best wine shop in town is just next door!

Market day brings its own special treat when you can choose a selection of local produce to bring back for a 'picnic' in the cottage.

The town has 60 or so restaurants, cafés and créperies - 5 of these are in the rue Sainte Claire, just a few yards from the cottage. In fact all that Dinan has to offer - its ramparts, château, timber framed houses, art and craft galleries, restaurants and shops and much, much more - is within easy walking distance.

This is the perfect place for two people to escape to for a blissful week in Brittany.

The cottage has a large, light-filled, sitting room with dining area for 4. The smart corner kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. There is a large built-in fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, built-in electric oven and 4 ring gas hob with stainless steel extractor hood. And when you have wined and dined there is no need to wash up - just load the dishwasher and settle down in front of the TV or turn on the radio/CD player and relax. The cottage has Sky Free-to-Air channels and a DVD player. There is a small selection of DVDs but please bring your own CDs

The double bedroom is fresh, clean and inviting and the spacious shower room/WC is light and spotless. Bed linen and towels are provided

Because of its prime situation at the heart of this beautiful medieval town Impasse des Clarisses is an ideal base at any time of the year. Centrally heated by gas, it is as comfortable for winter breaks as it is in the height of summer. And with a garage you don’t have to worry about parking

How to get there

The nearest ferry port is St Malo – 25 minutes. Cherbourg and Caën are 2 - 3 hours. Roscoff about 2 hours
Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to Dinard airport, Pleurtuit, which is 25 minutes drive
