Superbly appointed duplex apartment overlooking the river in Dinan’s beautiful & bustling port. Set in an attractive courtyard development with electronic entrance gates and private parking slot, the apartment has a terrace for alfresco meals - or you can just wander to one of the cafés or restaurants which line the quayside. The apartment has been decorated and furnished with an eye to comfort and luxury. It is a delightful home in a fantastic situation. There are views over the river from both the sitting room and the master bedroom and it is fascinating just to watch boats and holidaymakers coming and going. The port contains some of Dinan’s most popular restaurants and, with a backdrop of wooded hillsides and a magnificent viaduct, it is a unique and beautiful spot. The apartment has full gas fired central heating, making this a perfect holiday location at any time of year.

The boulangerie is just yards away, by the ancient little hump back bridge, so you can have fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. Later on a couple of paces take you to a café or restaurant for a lazy lunch or dinner. For days when you are feeling more energetic, there are lovely walks along the towpath in either direction. Or you can climb the steep, cobbled, rue Jerzual, lined with medieval houses festooned with geraniums. This leads up into the heart of old Dinan, where there are more medieval treasures to discover.
Dinan is a captivating town. The old centre is small enough to explore on foot but with plenty to provide interest for a stay of one or two weeks. Though it may look like a film set, Dinan is not just a tourist attraction. It is a vibrant town where people live and work throughout the year. The market is held on Thursday morning. During the summer there are many small events and attractions and every two years the town stages its well known Fête des Remparts, one of the biggest medieval festivals in Europe, when Dinan returns to the Middle Ages for a weekend of jousting, battles etc. Great fun for all the family.

The apartment has a large, comfortable sitting room with TV (French reception only), DVD/CD player; dining room with glass doors to terrace; pretty, modern kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven, microwave, gas hob, washing machine/dryer. There is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and wash basin.

Upstairs are 3 double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower and washbasin); bathroom and separate WC.
The master bedroom has an en-suite shower and washbasin, built in wardrobe, TV (French reception only), DVD player, hair dryer, trouser press/iron.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds, built in wardrobe, TV (French reception only), hair dryer.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed, built in wardrobe, TV (French reception only), hair dryer and trouser press/iron.

The nearby towns of Dinard and St Malo are easily accessible, as indeed is the rest of Brittany and western Normany, making Dinan an ideal base for exploring the region. Whether it is the beautiful, clean, sandy beaches and awe inspiring headlands of the north Breton coast or the gentle scenery of inland Brittany, there is something to appeal to everyone

How to get there

The nearest ferry port is St Malo – 25 minutes. Cherbourg and Caën are 2 - 3 hours. Roscoff about 2 hours
Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to Dinard airport, Pleurtuit, which is 25 minutes drive
